Meet Stuart

I’m looking forward to meeting you in person, but here is more about my background. After acquiring my Kinesiology degree at the University of Winnipeg in 2009, I became a certified personal trainer and exercise physiologist through CSEP. This certified me to work with people with chronic medical conditions. I started my own business, MORFIT Training Centre, and opened two gyms in Winnipeg.
My background in athletic therapy helped build my professional foundation as a trainer. Training adults with injuries quickly became my area of expertise. Helping my clients understand how and why their bodies are responding in specific ways to past injuries and weaknesses allows my clients to train with the confidence needed to reach their goals.
I have consistently remained involved in educating and teaching fitness. After teaching at the University of Winnipeg, I worked with the Manitoba Fitness Council for six years, instructing and certifying hundreds of other personal trainers and fitness instructors.
I stepped away from the fun but overwhelming responsibilities of managing two gyms in order to focus on what originally sparked my passion in the fitness industry; helping people like you take control of their health and fitness!
When I’m not training myself or my clients, I spend every minute I can with my beautiful daughter. When free time does surface, I enjoy playing sports, kitesurfing, and playing / developing board games!
